SAI GON – PHNOM PENH – SIEM REAP – SAI GON
(4 Days 3 Nights)
ANGKOR – THE HOME OF THE GODS CAST IN STONE
Discovering Cambodia, the country of temples, with this amazing 4 days itinerary:
- Contemplating the serenity and splendour of the Bayon, its 216 enigmatic faces are thought to be portraits of the Great Khmer King JayavarmanVII.
- Marveling at Angkor Wat, the world’s largest religious complex.
- Experiencing the excitement of the first European explorers at Ta Prohm. If Angkor Wat, Bayon and other temples are testimony to the genius of the ancient Khmer, Ta Prohm reminds us equally of the awesome fecundity and power of the jungle.
- Being dazzled at precious jewels embedded lavishly on the Buddha statue of the Silver Pagoda at Royal Palace, Phnom Penh

DAY 3: ANGKOR 1 DAY TOUR (B,L,D)
7:00AM Having breakfast at the hotel then proceeding to Angkor complex
Inside the Angkor complex, visiting:
- Bayon temple (inside Angkor Thom complex)
The similarity of the 216 gigantic faces on the temple's towers has led many scholars to believe that they are the faces of King Jayavarman VII.
- The Terrace of the Elephants
The terrace was used by Angkor's king Jayavarman VII as a platform from which to view his victorious returning army.
- Takeo temple
It might be the first to be built entirely of sandstone by Khmers
Then visiting Ta Prohm temple, it was made to the world stage by the Hollywood movie – Tomb Raider with the lead actress Angelina Jolie.
Around 11:30AM returning back to the city and having lunch.
In the afternoon, going back to Angkor complex to visit Angkor Wat
The temple is a representation of Mount Meru, the home of the gods: the central quincunx of towers symbolises the five peaks of the mountain, and the walls and moat symbolise the surrounding mountain ranges and ocean.
On the way back to the city, passing by Chu Du market – a self-made, self-maintaining market that pops up from nowhere. A great fun to shop here.
